A Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Group is a small, facilitated peer support group that provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals to share their struggles and develop tools to enhance their mental and emotional wellbeing. Inspired by the Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold, these groups focus on helping participants accept themselves, understand their value, and build resilience to navigate life's challenges
Our next group will start on Thursday 23/04/2026, 7 - 9pm, and run for 6 weeks. It is held in The Low Port Centre in Meeting Room 2, and each session is 2 hours.
Content: The groups cover themes such as anxiety, depression, shame, anger, forgiveness, and self-acceptance to help participants understand their own and others' experiences.
-
Goal: The aim is to provide tools for self-management and to help people build resilience and hope, making them feel more valued and confident.
-
Not a substitute for counselling: These groups are not a substitute for professional mental health counselling and are not suitable for those currently in professional counselling or with a diagnosed mental health condition.
-
Community and support: The groups provide a non-judgmental space where people can open up about their feelings and find community, understanding, and acceptance.
