Children & Families
We want to care for the whole child in the church family, building positive relationships and helping to develop their faith & knowledge in God.
On Sundays
Sunday Club provides a programme during our Sunday services for children from age 3 to P7.
We spend time in worship (sometimes with the whole church) where we aim to listen to God as he speaks to us. We also learn stories and verses from the bible and seek to make sense of how we apply these to our lives.
In Linlithgow the first Sunday of every month is our All Age Service where the whole family worships and learns together.
At these services we create a space for the youngest and oldest members of St John’s to come together to worship God and hear from Holy Spirit. These services encourage everyone, young and old, to engage with one message delivered in a variety of interactive ways, making it easier for people to participate and engage. These services are shorter and more informal which makes it easier for families to worship together.
Creche is still available on these weeks

Toddlers
We have 2 sessions every Wednesday at Union Road, Linlithgow
-
morning session 9:30am – 11:00am
-
afternoon session 1:30pm – 3:00pm
Toddlers is a safe, happy and fun environment for both children and adults alike. We want our groups to be inclusive and we want to support each other. All pre-school children with their carers are welcome. The sessions have an informal structure. We start with free play and a craft table then have snack/coffee followed by singing time before we tidy up. A suggested donation of £1 per week, per family is requested to help cover the group’s running costs. It would be great to see you there!
The sessions are usually packed full of happy, busy, growing, noisy babies, toddlers and pre-school children along with their parents, grandparents or carers.
Once a month the toddlers go into one of the local care homes to play, craft and sing with the residents. The joy that the children bring to the residents and staff is infectious
Family Cafe
Monday Family Cafe, in 183 High Street, Linlithgow, is specifically for parents with young children, providing a safe space for children to play while the grown ups can chat. A health professional comes along once a month to provide support, advice and build relationships.
Staff and volunteers in our childrens’ ministry are police checked through the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme.
