The New Well
Our vision for The New Well is to bring hope and connection through enhancing emotional, financial and spiritual wellbeing. Our values are: welcoming and valuing everyone; encouraging connection; loving God and one another and living in hope. The New Well is rooted in prayer and we want Jesus to be at the heart of all that we are and do.
We are looking at providing:
Renew Wellbeing Cafe: Quiet shared spaces ‘where it’s OK not to be OK’, run in partnership with local statutory mental health teams to improve mental and emotional wellbeing - have a rhythm of gentle prayer, keeping Jesus at the centre.
CAP: A team has been trained, completed the pilot and are now beginning to reach out to the community with Money Management Courses advertised through the Toddlers and Food Bank.
Befriending: We have a team of people who have been trained as befrienders and are able to help those who are isolated, supporting them to engage with others in their locality.
We are building on links we already have with Health Visitors, GPs, local Food Bank and local authority service providers to create partnerships where we can share resources and be more effective in nurturing people together.
We are in the process of looking into leasing a local building in Linlithgow that will give The New Well a home, providing space to expand the cafe, counselling service and CAP centre to help fulfil this vision.
