Autumn Giving Week 2024
Every year we dedicate one of our giving weeks to support an external organisation. This year, we are excited to focus our efforts on one of our Mission Partners, YOUTHSPACE (formerly known as LYPP).
Linlithgow Young People’s Project (LYPP) began in 1990 as a small initiative in partnership with local churches, with just a few dedicated volunteers on Linlithgow High Street. This year, they changed their name changed to ‘YOUTHSPACE’ but their aim remains the same; to foster a sense of hope in the lives of young people by creating engaging and encouraging spaces for young people to grow. Currently, they engage with over 250 young people each week, offering a variety of activities that allow them to express themselves, discover their potential, and develop essential life skills.
Today, they offer an array of services, including low-cost youth counselling, one-on-one mentoring in local schools, accreditation services (such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award), and community drop-in sessions in Linlithgow and Bridgend, along with exciting activities and outings.
