'The young people at
St John’s are just amazing and it is my real joy to be working alongside them.'
1 Timothy 4:12
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
Our aim is to inspire and encourage the young people who come along to our church to make a difference in their own life, the lives of their family, the town where they live and ultimately THE WORLD.
How will this happen? The answer as always is……………Jesus.
We are a welcoming bunch and we have an area set out at the side of church especially for youth – this helps young people who come on their own feel like they can slip in beside their peers and feel like they belong.
As in most youth work we run a series of activities, most in fact all of them involve food of some sort.
At least twice a year we go on an expedition – these have been as far away as Rwanda but more commonly are Soul Survivor Somerset and the discipleship weekend in the Windmill Christian Centre Arbroath.
Check out the details of all the groups they are all different so I am sure you will find one that suits you. Some are just social gatherings; some are more in depth study and prayer times. All are fun.
